I work with individuals eighteen years old and above and couples. I have experience with clients facing a wide range of mental health problems with specialised experience and training in post trauma work including sexual trauma.
Modalities:
My work is underpinned by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, however I integrate other evidence-based modalities into my practice to suit the needs of the client. I have specific training and experience in Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for post traumatic stress including sexual trauma.
In her own words:
I am originally from England but have lived and raised a family in Thames for the past 25 years. I travelled to the University of Waikato for psychology study/training for eight years and worked at the Manaaki Centre in Thames for three and a half years as an intern, then registered clinical psychologist. I recently worked in Australia for 6 months to further my experience and then returned to offer my services here in Thames. I love the location, community spirit and natural environment of Thames and the Coromandel Peninsula
