In Sally's own words: I have been supporting women and children who have experienced complex trauma, family violence, and sexual abuse. Symptoms and behaviours associated with anxiety, depression and conflictual relationships
To this end, I try to listen attentively, tune into the needs, emotions, and complex inner world of every client. I also have a key role in being alert to change and support the client to remove obstacles to engaging in therapy.
Counselling Supervision, Supervision of Counsellors in training. Supporting the accreditation process to ACC sensitive claims for counsellors also. Supervision of health workers.
I regard supervision as a space to reflect on and develop professional practice.
Ways of working together in supervision, the different therapeutic approaches we engage with in our work, the power relations and the broader contexts that inform our work are all part of the terms of the working agreement we develop together.
